1. Who we are

Wine Exam Trainer is an independent study tool for students preparing for WSET® Level 2 and Level 3 Awards in Wines. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). WSET® is a registered trademark of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. Using the app does not grant any qualification; exams are taken separately through WSET-approved programme providers.

2. The service

The app offers practice questions, flashcards, mock exams, AI-marked open questions and a tasting-note trainer. A free tier includes the Daily Pour, all flashcards and a limited number of quiz questions per day. Full access unlocks unlimited quizzes, mock exams, Exam Boost, AI-marked open questions and the tasting trainer.

3. Pricing, orders and payment

Full access is sold as a subscription: €9 per month or €30 per 6 months (prices include VAT where applicable; the exact amount is shown at checkout). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payments, handles returns, and is responsible for billing and VAT. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime via the Manage / cancel subscription link on the Access screen in the app, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

5. Refunds

See our Refund Policy. In short: if you are unhappy, contact us within 14 days of any charge and we will refund it in full.

6. Access codes

Access codes issued by us unlock the app for the stated period on one device per person. Codes are non-transferable and may be revoked if abused (e.g. shared publicly).

7. Fair use and accounts

The app stores your progress locally on your device and identifies your device anonymously. A subscription or code is for personal use by one person. You may not resell, scrape, copy or redistribute the question banks or other content of the app.

8. Accuracy and the AI marker

We work hard to keep questions and model answers accurate against the current WSET syllabus, and we ship corrections continuously — but we do not guarantee freedom from errors, nor that practice scores predict real exam results. Open questions and tasting notes are marked by an AI system; marks and feedback are study aids, not official assessments.

9. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We may change or improve features over time. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, active subscriptions will be refunded pro rata.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of our place of business; mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
